Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd, Singapore, is seeking a focused Purchasing professional for a 1-year contract. You will source quotations, process POs, and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery, while adhering to purchasing policies and driving cost-saving initiatives.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor/Diploma in SCM/BA/Engineering, with knowledge of the elevator/escalator industry and vendor management experience. Supply chain know-how will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in SCM/BA/Engineering.
• Knowledge in elevator and escalator industry.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Supply chain experience is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of Purchasing principles.

Responsibilities

• Source and compare quotations, pricing, terms from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Process purchase requisitions, quotations and Purchase Orders.
• Coordinate with requestors, logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery.
• Conduct vendor assessment, qualification and subcontractor induction.
• Support tender purchasing from sourcing to award.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly spending/savings reports and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify and propose purchasing process improvements.
• Support ad hoc projects and activities as required.
