This Position reports to:

Solutions Sales Leader - APAC

As a Complex Projects Solutions Architect within ABB’s Energy Industries business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-impact, technically sophisticated solutions for large-scale energy infrastructure projects across the region. You will serve as the technical lead and trusted advisor in pursuits involving LNG terminals, petrochemical complexes, refineries, hydrogen production facilities, and utility-scale power generation plants.

Main Responsibilities

• Architect and lead integrated automation, electrical, and digital solutions for large-scale energy infrastructure projects (LNG, refineries, hydrogen, power generation).
• Own technical scoping, solution design, and system integration across ICSS, PMS, SCADA/DCS, and digital platforms.
• Act as technical lead in strategic pursuits, tenders, and executive-level customer engagements.
• Translate complex customer requirements into scalable, compliant, and risk-mitigated architectures.
• Support sales, bidding, and project teams from pre-sales through execution, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements (IEC, ISA, SIL, cybersecurity).
• Drive technical risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and solution governance.
• Collaborate globally with engineering, product, R&D, and operations teams to ensure delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• 10–15 years’ experience in Energy Industries, including 5 years in senior technical/solution leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering complex automation and control systems for large infrastructure projects.
• Deep expertise in ICSS, PMS, DCS/PLC, SCADA, digital and cybersecurity solutions.
• Strong background in EPC project environments and large-scale tendering.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical integrity with commercial viability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
• Master’s degree or certifications in systems engineering or project management preferred.
