Job Description:
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a 24x7 data centre operations team and shift leads, including training, task allocation, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee capacity planning, facility management, and EHS/ESG compliance for data centre services.
  • Approve change activities, act as Level 2 escalation point, and ensure operational uptime.
  • Coordinate with authorities to obtain licenses and certifications, and support audits (ISO27001, ISO5001, ISO20000, ISO23001, TVRA, SSAE18, OSPAR, client/GDCO).
  • Manage vendors and contractors, monitor deliverables, negotiate quotations, raise POs, and oversee asset disposal and customer billing.
  • Lead facility improvement projects, and perform root cause analysis for outages.
  • Maintain effective communication with Technical Service Management and ensure compliance with data centre safety, security, and operational policies.
  • Oversee onsite security operations, processes, manpower, and security software systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies (fire, evacuation, equipment failure) and handle customer concerns.
  • Review, validate, and schedule requests via internal ticketing system, including user requests, incidents, and provisioning.
  • Undertake any other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Computing, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a 24x7 operations environment, including leading a team of specialists.
  • Possess relevant facilities management and/or data centre related certifications, such as ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, CDCMP, SFATC, etc.
  • Familiar with certification standards, such as LEED Gold, BCAIDA Green Mark Platinum, Uptime Institute Tier III, MAS TVRA, ISO27001, ISO5001, ISO20000, ISO23001, TVRA, SSAE18, OSPAR.
  • Good technical knowledge in M&E systems, network infrastructure, security, data centre facility systems, etc.
  • Broad understanding of cloud technologies, networking, data centre facilities, system applications and related IT systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
