Job summary

GMP Technologies recruits for a Shipping MNC in Singapore. Assistant/Manager (Line Management) will ensure profitable service delivery, manage P&L, and lead cross-functional teams.

The role requires travel to clients, vessels, and terminals, and close coordination with commercial and legal teams. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Maritime Business or Business Management with at least 7 years in shipping, strong leadership, and data-driven decision skills to drive efficiency and negotiation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Business or Business Management.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in shipping line involving in trade.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills across departments and stakeholders.
• Independent and result oriented with strategic thinking.
• Ability to analyze tasks, systems and problems and make quick decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the running of assigned services in a profitable manner with stakeholder dialogue.
• Be reactive to market changes to improve service volumes, scope, and profitability.
• Travel to visit customers, agents and terminals; P&L responsibility.
• Improve cost efficiency and optimize yield; select ships for best uptake and port dues.
• Monitor bunker consumption and ensure alignment with Time Charter Description.
• Coordinate rate quotation and filings with commercial department; build client relations.
