Job summary

GMP Technologies seeks a Senior Manager (Line Management) to lead P&L across our shipping portfolio. You will steer cost efficiency, optimize vessel performance, and secure profitable contracts while coordinating with marketing, operations, and legal to sustain growth.

The role requires strong leadership, deep maritime business knowledge, and the ability to adapt quickly to market changes. International travel and stakeholder engagement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Business or Business Management is required.
• 10+ years of shipping line experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments.
• Willingness for overseas travel and after-hours work as needed.
• Independent, results-oriented, strategic thinker with leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L responsibilities for the shipping line portfolio.
• Improve cost efficiency and optimize vessel yield and bunker consumption.
• Secure port call berths and negotiate contracts with discounts and incentives.
• Manage claims and coordinate with legal when required.
• Develop trade routes and analyze demand/supply with BI reports.
• Coordinate rate quotations and manage relationships with agents and customers.
• Maintain vessel schedule integrity and ensure timely ETAs/ETDs.
• Drive initiatives for GRIs, RR, and bunker recovery where appropriate.
• Lead cross-functional teams across sales, operations, and finance to achieve P&L targets.
