Job description

Our client is a local leading player in Machinery Manufacturing industry. They are currently recruiting a Service Engineer to be part of their service team to support their business needs. They are located in the West - easily accessible.

Responsibilities for Service Engineer:

• Advise customers and/or third-party contractors on both existing and new equipment, systems, and components.
• Perform commissioning and installation of newly delivered spreaders, and handle all warranty-related repair work.
• Provide technical support and guidance to service agents for equipment and component installation, as well as troubleshooting on spreaders.
• Conduct site inspections of spreaders upon customer requests.
• Respond to service calls for both preventive and corrective maintenance, carrying out repairs and servicing to meet customer specifications and requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of job progress, delays, issues, deliveries, modifications, additional work, and fabrication details.
• Prepare project completion reports, detailing activities performed, faults identified, and recommendations for future service improvements.
• Deliver technical training sessions to customers covering product knowledge, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and repair practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma in engineering or related fields
• Min 7 years of relevant experience in port equipment
• Comfortable with travelling overseas
• Experience in read electrical and mechanical drawings will have an advantage
