Job summary

PALFINGER ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking a Service Engineer to provide technical support and service across the APAC region. You will diagnose and resolve issues on hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems, deliver training and installation support, and manage warranty and spare parts with the factory.

You will travel about 60% of the time and work irregular hours to support dealers and end-users. Strong Mandarin and English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working with heavy equipment in hydraulics and electrical environments.
• Able to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems.

About the role

The Service Engineer provides technical support and service to PALFINGER dealers, partners and end-users across the APAC region, both remotely and on site. The role diagnoses and resolves technical issues on hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems, delivers technical training and installation support, and manages warranty and spare parts matters together with the factory. The purpose is to keep customer equipment running reliably and to strengthen service quality and customer satisfaction across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve technical issues raised by dealers, partners and end-users in a timely and structured manner, maintaining close liaison with customers and dealers until closure.

• Provide technical customer service and support to dealers and end-users, both remotely and on site, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.

• Coordinate and liaise with the factory on parts and service matters, and follow through on open issues to resolution.

• Manage warranty cases in line with PALFINGER standards, and support spare parts management for the region.

• Conduct technical training for dealers, partners and end-users, and provide installation and commissioning support.

• Travel within the APAC region (approximately 60%) and work irregular hours where required to support dealers and end-users.

• Work as part of the regional service team and contribute to the continuous improvement of service processes, technical documentation and service reporting.

About you

• Technical education (Diploma or equivalent) with sound knowledge of hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems.

• Minimum 5 years of working experience with heavy equipment in a hydraulics and electrical environment.

• Strong technical analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with customers, dealers and factory teams.

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin, to support Mandarin-speaking dealers and customers in the region.

• Self-motivated, committed and a team player.

• Willing to travel out of Singapore approximately 60% of the time and to work irregular hours when required.
