Job summary

REERACOEN SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Field Support Engineer/Senior Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) to perform installation, commissioning and maintenance at customer sites in the East region of Singapore.

You will diagnose faults, inspect systems, and implement corrective actions while coordinating with customers and internal teams. The role includes overseas technical training for 3–6 months in Japan, China, Taiwan or Thailand, and involvement in support of PLC programs and backups.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering required.
• 2–4 years field service engineer experience in installation, maintenance and repair of semiconductor/industrial equipment or vacuum systems.
• Practical electrical diagnostics and schematic reading essential; PLC knowledge.
• Able to explain technical issues to customers and teams; willing to travel to customer sites and overseas training for 3–6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate servicing and testing of vacuum pumps; verify performance after repair.

Field Support Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) (37862)

Location: East

Responsibilities

• Carry out equipment installation, start-up, commissioning, preventive maintenance and corrective servicing at customer sites.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic and control-related faults using electrical schematics, technical drawings, operating data and test instruments.
• Inspect wiring, control panels, electrical components and equipment control systems to identify faults and determine corrective actions.
• Trace electrical faults and perform component replacement, adjustment and testing according to approved procedures.
• Support authorised PLC programme backups and transfers, parameter adjustments and functional checks.
• Perform or coordinate servicing, overhaul, repair and testing of dry and wet vacuum pumps within assigned technical competence.
• Verify equipment performance following repair and troubleshooting activities.
• Prepare detailed service reports covering fault conditions, diagnosis, work performed, parts used, test results and follow-up actions.
• Communicate technical findings and service progress with customers and internal technical teams.
• Escalate complex faults with clear technical evidence and troubleshooting results.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Engineers and junior team members where applicable.
• Follow all company and customer safety, quality and cleanroom requirements.
• Participate in overseas product and technical training for 3-6 months in Japan, China, Taiwan or Thailand, as assigned.

Requirements & Preferences

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is required for the role
• At least 2 - 4 years of field service engineer experience, experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor equipment, industrial equipment, vacuum systems, or similar equipment
• Practical electrical diagnostics and schematic reading are essential. PLC knowledge and employment with an equipment manufacturer, distributor or service vendor are required.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical panels, wiring, sensors, motors, controllers, or other equipment components.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Willingness to work at customer sites and participate in overseas technical training for 3-6 months (either in Japan, China, Taiwan, or Thailand, depending on business requirements)

(Advantageous)

• More experienced candidates who can handle the following may be considered for Senior Engineer based on technical capability and leadership experience:

1. Handle complex equipment faults independently.
2. Lead service activities and coordinate troubleshooting with customers and internal teams.
3. Guide Assistant Engineers and Engineers during service assignments.
4. Take ownership of technical escalation and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
