The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting business growth by combining technical expertise with commercial support within the marine engineering services sector. The role focuses on promoting maintenance, repair, and engineering solutions to clients across the maritime industry while ensuring smooth coordination between customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales & Customer Support
  • Provide technical consultation and support before and after service delivery.
  • Prepare quotations, service proposals, costing, and technical documentation based on customer requirements.
  • Work closely with technical and operations teams to develop practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
2. Client Management & Engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, site visits, and follow-ups to explore business opportunities.
  • Act as the main liaison for technical and commercial discussions with clients.
3. Business Development & Sales
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute towards achieving sales objectives.
  • Support tender submissions, pricing discussions, and commercial negotiations.
  • Maintain proper sales records, pipeline updates, and customer information using internal systems.
4. Industry Monitoring & Service Enhancement
  • Keep up to date with market developments, customer trends, and competitor activities within the maritime sector.
  • Gather customer feedback and recommend improvements to service offerings and operational processes.
5. Project & Service Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with service, engineering, and operations teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Ensure customer expectations and timelines are properly managed throughout the service process.
  • Participate in project reviews and contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, or marine service-related roles.
  • Familiarity with marine engine systems, rotating equipment, or related marine machinery is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and handle commercial discussions professionally.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
