Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Senior Program Specialist - Extended Workforce on a contracting basis. The role focuses on advising on extended workforce policies, coordinating with MSPs, and driving process improvements across regions.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in relevant fields, experience with transformation initiatives, and a track record of leveraging AI and automation to boost efficiency. Immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Advise managers and internal stakeholders on extended workforce policies, processes, and operational matters.
• Independently investigate and resolve complex operational queries, identifying escalation needs.
• Coordinate with vendor-managed service providers to resolve issues and strengthen supplier compliance.
• Manage program administration and controls, including vendor due diligence, documentation, and knowledge resources.
• Create clear communications for internal stakeholders, MSPs, and suppliers.
• Support regional projects, process changes, market transitions, audits, and technology implementations from planning through completion.
• Prepare reports and insights on operational performance, supplier compliance, risks, and program outcomes.
• Use AI, automation, and digital tools to streamline recurring work and improve accuracy.

The Opportunity

• We are looking for a Senior Program Specialist - Extended Workforce


• The role will start out as a contract


• Candidates who are immediately available/ able to start work within short notice will be preferred

The Talent

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in contingent workforce management, HR operations, vendor management, or a related field.


• Experience supporting transformation, change management, or process-excellence initiatives.


• Experience using AI tools, automation, or emerging technologies to improve personal productivity and operational workflows.


• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes with limited supervision.


• Experience advising stakeholders and resolving operational issues that require sound judgement and structured problem-solving.


• Experience working with managed service providers, staffing suppliers, vendor management systems, or HR systems.


• Strong program coordination skills, including maintaining ownership, documentation, timelines, and follow-through across multiple stakeholders.


• Ability to analyse operational data and translate it into practical insights and recommendations.


• Experience supporting a regional or multi-country workforce program including supplier governance, due diligence.
