Job summary

A leading semiconductor company in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to act as a technical liaison between Korea HQ and local teams. The candidate will develop SOPs, investigate production issues, and provide technical support. Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical liaison between Korea HQ and the local site by receiving ongoing technical updates, disseminating them to local employees, and requesting technical support or guidance when required.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including new product qualification, equipment qualification and operation, and failure analysis.
  • Investigate and respond promptly to unexpected production issues such as process deviations and handling problems.
  • Manage and optimize cleaning and coating processes at the production site.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and the sales team regarding engineering and process‑related issues.
  • Follow up on production issues, corrective actions, and customer or internal requests.
  • Train and mentor new engineering employees.
  • Update and maintain MES data for existing and new parts.
  • Measure parts and prepare relevant technical and inspection documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to support process and material requirements.
  • Support Quality Assurance (QA) activities, including internal and external audits.
  • Perform other ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
    Preferred: Hands‑on experience in cleaning and/or coating processes within the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical materials and related processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English are required for effective communication with customers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate in Korean is required for collaboration with the Korea HQ engineering team on technical and operational matters.
