Job summary

MSIG Singapore is seeking a skilled Senior Motor Claims Handler to investigate and settle motor claims, respond to client correspondence, and guide junior staff on reserves, registrations and data entry. You will coordinate with solicitors, surveyors, TPAs and other vendors.

The role requires a solid background in general insurance, strong analytical and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to manage complex claims end-to-end on-site in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Motor claims handling experience.
• Background in Law or motor BI claims advantageous.
• Claims technical know-how and underwriting awareness.
• Analytical, conceptual and negotiation skills for complex settlements.
• Strong communication abilities with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and negotiate settlement on motor claims.
• Respond to correspondence and provide efficient service to clients.
• Instruct support staff on reserve provision and registration requirements and verify data entries for files setup.
• Review claim files including monitoring of recoveries, setting of reserves, clients and intermediaries management, assignment of solicitors, surveyors, TPAs and other vendors.
• Provide a technical reference point for queries.
• Approve claims payment.
• Train and assist junior staff.
• Assist superior on big claims handling.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.
