Job summary

MSIG Singapore is seeking an experienced claims professional to handle motor claims, negotiate settlements, and provide timely service to clients from its Singapore office.

The role requires tertiary education with qualifications in general insurance; a legal qualification is advantageous. You will review files, manage reserves, and collaborate with solicitors, surveyors and TPAs while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education required.
• Relevant qualifications in general insurance.
• Legal qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and negotiate settlement on motor claims.
• Respond to correspondence and provide efficient service to clients.
• Instruct support staff on reserve provision and registration requirements and verify data entries for files setup.
• Review claim files including monitoring of recoveries, setting of reserves, clients and intermediaries management, assignment of solicitors, surveyors, TPAs and other vendors.
• Provide a technical reference point for queries.
• Approve claims payment.
• Train and assist junior staff.
• Assist superior on big claims handling.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.
