Job summary

What The Role Is

The candidate will be part of VITAL's Procurement Services team responsible for analysing government expenditure, developing and managing VITAL Procurement Services Program for the Public Sector, as well as supporting VITAL’s Service Partners in procurement processes. The objective is to deliver cost savings, improve processes and services.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Analyse government spend data to make informed decisions, develop strategies for strategic sourcing, demand aggregation and contract management, and identify opportunities for cost consolidation, optimization and process improvement.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle from research, planning, preparing tender specifications, managing end-to-end tender process from publishing tender, evaluating and awarding tender.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure effective management of all existing contracts related to the government procurement services program.
  • Manage and assess strategic vendors’ performance based on established service levels and KPIs.
  • Develop strong relationships with client agencies, provide consultative advice on procurement policy and best practices and encourage clients to build up proactive feedback culture.
  • Lead and facilitate client engagement activities on procurement projects, sharing sessions, service reviews and service issue resolution.
  • Continuous review of the government procurement services program to ensure it evolves and develops to meet changing client agencies’ requirements, and identify future strategies and sourcing initiatives with strong focus in efficiency management and cost savings.
  • Ensure that the team delivers high quality service to customers by monitoring KPIs and managing customers' queries and issues.
  • Work with the Users in developing appropriate procurement strategies to achieve effective procurement.
