Singapore General Hospital Pte Ltd. is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager to support the Unit Head of Admitting Services in managing frontline and roving teams covering inpatient wards and the coordination centre.

The Senior Manager / Manager supports the Unit Head, Admitting Services (Patient Services) in the operational management of the department’s frontline services / roving teams covering inpatient wards / coordination centre. Services include registration, financial counselling, payment, service posting, follow-up appointment booking and safekeeping of patient property.
Oversee end-to-end admission, financial counselling and patient access operations across emergency, urgent, elective and same-day admission services, ensuring efficient workflows, appropriate resource deployment and a seamless patient experience.
Ensure timely and accurate communication, documentation and follow-up of admission, financial and administrative requirements, including bill estimates, payment arrangements, guarantees and financial counselling outcomes.
Establish and monitor service standards, operational controls, escalation protocols and business continuity arrangements, ensuring prompt resolution of operational, system and service issues.
Maintain effective financial, documentation and records management controls in compliance with governance, regulatory, audit and organisational requirements.
Ensure patient-centred service delivery and compliance with organisational policies, procedures and quality standards.
Plan and manage staffing, roster coverage and workload allocation to meet service and operational requirements.
Recruit, develop and retain a competent workforce through effective onboarding, training, performance management and career development.
Build a future-ready workforce through succession planning, leadership development and talent management.
Monitor and analyse operational, workforce and service performance indicators; identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
Develop workforce and resource plans based on workload forecasts, service needs and operational priorities.
Lead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives, including the implementation of systems, policies, workflows and automation solutions, to enhance operational efficiency, service quality and patient experience.
Represent Admitting Services in hospital-wide initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to advance organisational priorities and operational improvements.
Lead and support the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects to achieve service and organisational objectives.
Coach and guide staff in project planning, stakeholder engagement, change management and implementation.
Perform secretariat duties for committees, workgroups and project teams as assigned.
Maintain operational readiness by reviewing and updating emergency response and business continuity plans.
Coordinate departmental response efforts during emergency activations and support hospital-wide command and control activities.
Degree with at least 4 years of experience at middle management position, preferably in healthcare/ hospitality industry.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, planning and organizational skills.
