Job summary

National Heart Centre Singapore seeks a capable professional to assist the Head of Cardiac Clinics in overseeing outpatient admitting services. You will drive strategic planning, implement admission and financial counselling processes, and develop workplans that leverage innovative technologies to improve patient flow.

The role requires managing budgets, allocation of resources, and supervision of staff in a fast-paced hospital setting, with emphasis on service recovery and process improvements

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least 3 years' experience in managing admitting services in healthcare.
• Healthcare and staff management experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience in design thinking, change management, project management, technology adoption or process methodologies preferred.
• Results-oriented, analytical, supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative, multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

You will assist the Head of Cardiac Clinics in managing and supervising the operational and day-to-day activities of the outpatient admitting services. You will be involved in the strategic planning, development, and implementation of the admission and financial counselling processes to ensure efficient and smooth patient admissions.

You will develop workplans and processes for various categories of the admission and financial counselling process by harnessing innovative technologies in patient care. You will prepare and monitor annual operating and capital budgets and ensure efficient and effective resource allocation and utilisation. You will manage manpower resources for new and existing services in the outpatient settings, provide prompt service recovery, and oversee improvement projects to enhance this area.

You will also represent the department at cluster meetings, contribute meaningfully to discussions and coordinate cross-functional activities related to system enhancements and workflows.

Job Requirements:

• Degree with at least3 years' working experience, preferably in managing admitting services in the healthcare industry
• Healthcare and staff management experience will be an advantage
• Prior knowledge or experience in design thinking, change management, project management, technology adoption or process methodologies will be preferred
• Results-oriented self-starter with strong analytical, supervisory, and interpersonal skills
