Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably with exposure to hospital support services such as linen and laundry, food services, bed management, or patient administration.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of PDPA and relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to support operational decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee linen and laundry services, ensuring timely processing, distribution, cleanliness, inventory control, and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with food services teams to ensure appropriate patient meals, food quality, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage bed occupancy and availability in collaboration with nursing and admissions teams to optimize patient flow and bed turnover.
  • Oversee claims management, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Liaise with relevant agencies and departments to resolve claims-related issues and improve operational processes.
  • Act as the liaison officer between MOH and the hospital for inspections, audits, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional projects focused on operational efficiency, patient care, service improvement, and new service development.
  • Ensure operational practices comply with the PDPA and conduct regular audits and staff awareness activities.
  • Provide secretariat support for management meetings, including preparation of materials, documentation, communication, and follow-up actions.
  • Foster effective collaboration between clinical and administrative teams to address operational challenges and improve service delivery.
  • Oversee procurement of operational services and manage vendor relationships, including contract evaluation and negotiation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff while managing performance and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenditure, and implement appropriate cost-control measures.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to identify trends, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Address feedback and concerns from staff and patients to enhance service quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Undertake other duties and projects as assigned, including supporting the expansion or development of new services.
