Job summary

A leading engineering and construction company in Singapore is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee management of M&E operations across commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management, along with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in building maintenance services. You will ensure compliance with safety standards while managing contracts efficiently and leading multi-site teams. Strong knowledge of building services systems is required, alongside excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Facility Building Maintenance services.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems: electrical ACMV, M&E, elevators, fire protection.
• Familiar with statutory requirements (BCA, SCDF, MOM-WSH).

Responsibilities

• Oversee management and maintenance of M&E facilities operations.
• Direct daily functions of M&E systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Manage end-to-end operational performance of facilities contracts.
• Lead and coordinate multi-site teams for cross-functional collaboration.
• Plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Prepare and present reports for operational performance insights.
• Negotiate vendor contracts to ensure cost efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee management and maintenance of M&E facilities operations across commercial buildings, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
• Direct daily functions of M&E systems, guaranteeing smooth operations and compliance with safety standards.
• Manage end-to-end operational performance of facilities contracts, driving service delivery, safety, profitability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Lead and coordinate multi-site teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration and aligning operations with contractual KPIs and organizational strategy.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute corrective and preventive maintenance, integrated system testing, and annual building shutdown activities.
• Prepare and present reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear insights into operational performance and compliance.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and manage costing, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Facilities Management
• At least 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in Facility Building Maintenance services
• Well-versed in ACMV Equipment
• Proven track record in managing multi-sites contracts of Grade-A Commercial Buildings is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems: electrical ACMV, M&E, elevators, fire protection etc.
• Familiar with statutory requirements (BCA, SCDF, MOM-WSH)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
