Job summary

HAROLD EXPRESS is hiring for its Singapore office as the first HR hire. You will own the full HR function, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll, benefits, and compliance.

Immediate or short notice candidates are advantageous, and you will play a key role in building a robust HR function in the CBD area. Responsibilities include leading end-to-end hiring processes, managing employee relations, and maintaining HR data in the HRIS, while ensuring all practices meet local labor laws.

Qualifications

• Five years of broad HR experience covering full HR scope.
• Strong working knowledge of local labor laws and payroll practices.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment including postings, screening, interviews and onboarding when required.
• Resolve workplace conflicts and support performance coaching to boost retention.
• Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration and leave tracking.
• Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate confidential employee data in the HRIS.

We are representing a Electronics Distribution company located in the CBD. They have a presence in China and Hong Kong.

As this will be the first HR hire for their Singapore office, you are expected to have experience in full suite of HR Functions and HR Operations.

Immediate or short notice candidates will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and seamless onboarding experiences when required.
• Employee Relations & Engagement: Resolve workplace conflicts, support performance coaching, and drive programs that boost employee retention and morale.
• Compensation & Benefits: Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, leave tracking, and market salary benchmarking.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all company policies and HR practices strictly follow local labor laws and employment regulations.
• HR Operations & HRIS: Maintain accurate and confidential employee data and manage our HR Information System (HRIS).

Requirements:

• Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5 years of broad, hands‑on HR experience covering the full spectrum of functions. Strong working knowledge of local labor laws, employment regulations, and payroll practices. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
