We are hiring an HR Manager to support a newly established technology company focused on software research and development. Our client plans to grow its Singapore team from ground up to a team of 30 developers, with scope for further expansion.
This is a hands‑on role for an HR professional who can establish HR practices, manage Singapore employment matters and partner closely with business stakeholders based in China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, organization development and people matters.
- Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding as the Singapore team grows.
- Manage day‑to‑day HR operations in compliance with Singapore employment legislation and MOM requirements, including attendance, overtime, leave, statutory contributions, employment contracts, the employee handbook and payroll‑related policies.
- Proactively manage employee relations matters and help prevent and resolve employment disputes.
- Design and manage compensation structures, benefits, annual salary reviews and incentive or bonus schemes.
- Drive the performance management cycle, including goal setting, evaluations, feedback and improvement plans.
- Coach line managers on people management and support the development of the HR team as the business grows.
- Independently develop HR policies, processes and documentation, and lead initiatives that strengthen company culture and employee engagement.
- Support HR planning for future overseas expansion.
Requirements:
- Broad, hands‑on HR experience covering HR business partnering, HR operations and employee relations in Singapore.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent, with min 7 years of HRM experience
- Experience in start‑up from ground up is highly regarded
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore employment legislation, statutory requirements and MOM processes.
- Experience in compensation and benefits, performance management and developing HR policies.
- Ability to work independently and build practical HR processes in a growing business.
- Strong recruitment capability; experience hiring for technology or software roles is an advantage.
- Ability to speak, read and write in both English and Chinese to communicate with stakeholders based in China and handle related documents and discussions.
- Sound judgement, discretion and strong stakeholder management skills.
- Regional HR exposure is an advantage.
