Job summary

FRANKLINWH SG PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a DSP Control Software Expert to lead design and productization of PCS and inverter control software, ensuring stable operation across grid conditions.

You will design, simulate, and deploy DSP control algorithms, implement grid-connected and off-grid modes, MPPT, and robust protection; collaborate on hardware/software integration and drive validation from simulation to bench tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in power electronics, automation, control engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of DSP algorithm development experience for energy storage or photovoltaic inverters.
• Expertise in embedded C development for DSP platforms, with strong understanding of grid-connected and off-grid switching, MPPT, and closed-loop control.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, develop, debug, and deploy DSP control algorithms for residential energy storage inverters and PCS power conversion systems.
• Implement grid-connected and off-grid dual-mode control, MPPT, closed-loop power control, harmonic suppression, and power-factor optimization.
• Develop low-level drivers, control logic, and algorithm code on mainstream DSP platforms; build simulation models and validate algorithms.
• Perform hardware/software integration and complete-system debugging; diagnose oscillation, harmonics, grid-connection instability, and dynamic response issues.
• Continuously improve control strategies to meet international grid-connection requirements for stable operation under various grid conditions.
• Produce algorithm design documents, coding standards, and debugging reports; establish a reusable control-algorithm system for ongoing development.
• Define control-performance metrics and acceptance criteria; create a closed validation loop across simulation, bench, and complete-system testing.
• Conduct SIL/HIL testing to validate control behavior under extreme grid conditions, load transients, and faults.
• Establish code review, version control, configuration, and release processes to keep changes traceable.
