Job summary

Focal Search is seeking an Energy Storage System Engineer in Singapore to identify and integrate storage within renewable projects. You will provide engineering support across all technical aspects, sizing batteries, designing interfaces, and ensuring reliability of the storage solution.

Role involves risk assessments, system optimization, and collaboration with renewable engineers on interconnection and grid integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in energy storage industry or related field.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics or related major.
• Experience with energy management systems and SCADA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate opportunities to integrate energy storage with renewables.
• Provide design support and address system requirements for storage assets.
• Recommend improvements, optimizations, and support strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments using modeling and simulation techniques.
• Define renewable energy requirements and grid interconnection needs.
• Plan and participate in installation visits and field checks.
• Collaborate with renewable system engineers on layouts and O&M plans.
• Develop project schedules, updates, and decision briefs.
