Job summary

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking an experienced architectural professional to develop designs, drawings and construction docs for a large hospital project in Singapore.

You will coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers and subcontractors to ensure design integrity and timely delivery. The role requires strong AutoCAD proficiency with BIM exposure; hospital projects are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Design or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant architectural design or construction experience.
• Experience in hospital, healthcare, institutional or large-scale projects is advantageous.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop architectural designs, layouts, detailed drawings and construction documentation for a large-scale hospital construction project.
• Review design drawings, specifications and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate architectural design information with architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, M&E and other building services.
• Prepare and review detailed drawings, plans, elevations, sections and architectural details.
• Assist in resolving design discrepancies, technical issues and coordination matters.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and technical proposals from subcontractors.
• Ensure design drawings are properly coordinated, updated and issued according to project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to verify site conditions and assist in resolving design-related site issues.
• Assist in preparing design submissions, presentations, material schedules and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate design changes and ensure revised drawings and information are properly incorporated.
• Liaise with consultants and project team members on design and technical matters.
• Assist the Architectural Manager / Project Manager in monitoring design progress and ensuring compliance with project schedules.
• Support BIM and design coordination activities where applicable.
• Ensure design works comply with relevant Singapore regulations, codes, project specifications and quality requirements.
• Perform other design-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager/Architectural Manager.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Building Studies or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design or the construction industry.
• Experience in hospital, healthcare, institutional or large-scale building projects will be an advantage.
• Experience with a main contractor or Design & Build contractor is preferred.
• Good knowledge of architectural design, detailing, construction drawings and documentation.
• Good understanding of architectural construction and building materials.
• Familiarity with coordination of architectural works with structural and M&E services.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM software will be an advantage.
• Able to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively with consultants, subcontractors and project team members.
