Job summary

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd invites a capable Architectural Designer to join our team and produce detailed drawings for a major hospital project in Singapore. You will develop layouts, elevations, and sections, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Studies, Design or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in architectural design, drafting or the construction industry.
• Experience with hospital, healthcare, institutional or large-scale building projects will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural and technical drawings for a large-scale hospital construction project.
• Develop layouts, plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings based on project requirements and design information.
• Assist in preparing construction drawings, shop drawings and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate drawings and design information with architects, consultants, engineers, subcontractors and project team members.
• Assist in coordinating architectural works with structural, M&E and other building services.
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies or coordination issues for follow-up.
• Incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings and ensure drawing information is kept up to date.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submissions and technical documents.
• Conduct site visits to verify site conditions and assist with resolving drawing-related issues.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and other design documentation.
• Assist the project team with design coordination and technical matters.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant construction requirements.
• Support BIM and design coordination activities where applicable.
• Perform other design-related duties as assigned by the Architectural Manager / Project Manager.

Job Requirements

• Experience with a main contractor or Design & Build contractor is preferred.
• Good knowledge of architectural drawings, detailing and construction documentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM software will be an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic understanding of architectural, structural and M&E coordination.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work within project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
