Job summary

KTC Civil Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Architect (Building Project) to coordinate design detailing between clients and consultants, and to supervise architectural drawings and materials on site.

The ideal candidate has local experience, strong BIM skills (Revit/Bentley), attention to shop drawings, and a can-do attitude to drive project quality within time and cost constraints.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, BOA Singapore recognized, with min 4 years local experience.
• Diploma in Architecture with min 5 years local experience.
• Proficient in project management and architectural trades.
• Proficient in Revit/Bentley for coordination of trades.
• Eye for detail in architectural shop drawings.
• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Completed CONQUAS building project is an added advantage.
• Preferably with Design & Build building experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Architect (Building Project) to coordinate design detailing between Clients and Consultants.
• Coordinate all architectural drawings and works, submit and update shop drawings, samples, mockups, and materials; supervise progress.
• Review project specifications, tender clarifications and construction drawings for contract and procurement management.
• Ensure compliance with architectural specifications and achieve quality without deviation to requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to accomplish project objectives within scope, time, cost and quality.
• Prepare construction method statements and technical proposals for smooth transition of works.
• Coordinate architectural work, prepare estimates, interpret plans and inspect construction sites.
• Coordinate architectural and consultant drawings for consistency in construction documents.
• Resolve site architectural issues using BIM or equivalent methods.
• Liaise with client, consultant and specialist subcontractors for project execution if required.
• Arrange and attend joint site inspections with all system wide and in-house contractors.
• Review and report on progress of architectural works.
• Liaise with civil construction team and follow construction progress closely.
• Assist in ensuring that architectural requirements are incorporated into site construction.

Job description

• Assist the Architect (Building Project) to coordinate design detailing between Clients and Consultants

• Coordinate all architectural drawings and works, submit and update status of shop drawings, samples, mockup, and materials as well as supervise work progress to alleviate conflicts, dispute and abortive work

• Review project specifications, tender clarifications and construction drawings for contract and procurement management

• Ensure compliance with architectural specifications and achieve quality aspect of architectural works without deviation to authority requirements

• Responsible to the project stakeholders for accomplishing the project objectives within the constraints such as project scope, time, cost and quality of the project.

• Prepare any necessary construction method statement and technical proposal to ensure smooth transition of works

• To coordinate architectural work, prepare estimates, interpret plans and inspect construction sites

• To coordinate architectural and consultant drawings to ensure consistency in construction documents

• Resolve all site architectural issues (i.e. drawings discrepancies, method statements or correspondences) and implement the right methods to ensure quality and productivity, using BIM software or equivalent

• To liaise with client, consultant and specialist subcontractors for project execution if required

• Arrange and attend joint site inspections with all system wide and in-house contractors if required

• Review and report on the progress of architectural works

• Liaise and work closely with the civil construction team and follow the construction progress closely

• Assist in ensuring that all architectural construction requirements are incorporated into the site construction

• To assist in construction administration process by attending site visits if required

• Compile and handover of architectural documentations including as-built drawing submissions

• To ensure the project complies with regulations, which includes revising the project design as necessary to achieve client satisfaction

• Adhere to safety and health regulations and aim for zero accident in the workplace

• Ensure safety and housekeeping is to maintained to the highest standard

• Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture, recognized by Board of Architects Singapore with min. 4 years of local experience OR Diploma in Architecture with min. 5 years of local working experience

• Proficient in project management and architectural trades

• Proficient in trades coordination via Revit/Bentley platform

• Eye for details in architectural shop drawings

• Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a "can-do" attitude

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• Completed CONQUAS building project will be an added advantage

• Preferably with Design & Build Building experience
