Job summary

HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead data-driven strategy, govern data quality, and deliver enterprise analytics across the organization. You will architect data systems, mentor teams, and partner with executives to drive digital maturity.

The role demands hands-on modeling, governance discipline, and strong communication to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/ Business/ Math/ Statistics/ IT (Master’s degree preferred).
• Expert knowledge of SQL, Python/R, DAX, integrated cloud analytics environments (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Databricks) and automated workflows.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven capability in designing end-to-end data analytics solutions and communicating insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to converse or understand Japanese Language is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements with senior stakeholders to architect data-driven strategies; translate complex business challenges into technical roadmaps and high-impact analytical solutions.
• Oversee end-to-end data mapping and sophisticated database modeling; ensure scalable data structures that support long-term business intelligence needs.
• Design and enforce advanced data validation frameworks and automated cleaning procedures to guarantee enterprise-level data integrity and consistency.
• Leverage statistical modeling and rend analysis to identify non-obvious patterns, providing the empirical foundation for high-stakes organizational planning.
• Spearhead the coordination of complex visualization solutions; drives the adoption of data-sharing ecosystems through integrated SharePoint and Power Apps environments.
• Direct large-scale data maintenance projects and lead the strategic execution of migration and cut-over plans for mission-critical systems

The Senior Data Analyst serves as a strategic lead, transforming raw organizational data into a competitive advantage by bridging the gap between automated systems and executive decision making. Beyond technical execution, the role is defined by total ownership of the data lifecycle – from architecting robust governance frameworks and “Single source of truth” standards to delivering the predictive insights that steer business growth. As a technical mentor, the Senior Data Analyst ensures operational continuity while proactively identifying efficiencies that drive the organization’s digital maturity.

Other Responsibilities

• Author and implement organization wide master data standards and long-term data strategies.
• Establish and audit Data Life Cycle Management (DLM) policies, ensuring robust governance, security, and business continuity across all operations.
• Act as a technical mentor to junior analysts, conducting code reviews and optimizing team workflows to increase overall analytical throughput.
