Job summary

HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Development (Deposition) Technician to support engineering and ensure product quality throughout manufacturing. You will work with engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, run experiments, and compile data for analysis.

The role requires a NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Technology (or 3 years semiconductor experience), strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a cleanroom on a 12-hour rotating

Qualifications

• NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Technology, OR 3 years semiconductor experience
• 3 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, or related roles, preferred
• Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new machine technologies and procedures
• Proactive team player

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development engineers and technicians to ensure timely and successful introduction to new product
• Monitored product performance to maintain compliance with internal specs and development engineers
• Performed process tuning and adjustments to meet specs defined by development engineers
• Troubleshot process and defect issues during pilot runs to minimize disruptions
• Compiled and delivered optical and defect performance data from pilot runs for analysis
• Executed tasks in alignment with development guidelines across maintenance, start‑up, and pilot runs
• Provided basic training and guidance to new technicians on processes and standards

We are looking for a Senior Development (Deposition) Technician to support engineering activities and ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with engineers and cross‑functional teams to assist with troubleshooting, conduct experiments, compile data for analysis, and communicate effectively across departments. This role requires flexibility, strong teamwork, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while providing regular daily status updates and completing assigned tasks efficiently.

• Collaborate with development engineers and technicians to ensure timely and successful introduction to new product
• Monitored product performance to maintain compliance with internal specifications and requirements set by development engineers
• Performed process tuning and adjustments to meet specifications defined by development engineers
• Troubleshot process and defect issues during pilot runs to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth operations
• Compiled and delivered optical and defect performance data from pilot runs to development engineers for analysis and improvement
• Executed tasks in alignment with development guidelines across maintenance, start-up, and pilot run stages
• Provided basic training and guidance to new technicians on processes and operational standards

Skills and Competencies Profile

Required Qualifications:

• NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Technology, OR
• 3 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, or prior experience in related roles, is preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills for reporting and collaborating with colleagues
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new machine technologies and procedures
• Proactive team player

Additional Information

• Willing to work in a 12-hour rotating day / night shift (4 working days / 3 rest days / 3 working days / 4 rest days)
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and perform overtime as and when necessary
