Job summary

AIBEL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement activities, from inquiry through PO close-out, with strong emphasis on supplier negotiation, planning, and compliance.

The role requires coordinating with multiple disciplines and guiding team members to meet project schedules. Ideal candidates will have 8–10 years of procurement experience, a relevant degree, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Min 8-10 years of experience in the procurement discipline.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in the relevant discipline; lack of formal education can be compensated with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inquiry documentation.
• Obtain RFQ/Bid tenders from suppliers.
• Evaluate commercial aspects of RFQ/Bid tender.
• Issue purchase orders through SAP.
• Follow up material and procurement plans.
• Invoice handling with suppliers and finance.
• Close-out of purchase orders.
• Contribute to training within the discipline.
• Provide information and ensure cross-discipline communication.
• Manage performance of subordinates and provide feedback.

Job description

Job responsibilities:

• Prepare inquiry documentation
• Obtain RFQ/Bid Tenders from suppliers
• Evaluate commercial aspects of RFQ/Bid tender
• Effect purchase orders for materials and/or services through the SAP system
• Follow up material and procurement plans
• Invoice handling with suppliers and finance.
• Close-out of purchase orders
• Other relevant supply chain/procurement activities
• Contribute to a good working environment in their project team(s)
• Provide information to colleagues and make sure that relevant information is obtained from other discipline is shared accordingly.
• Contribute to on the job training for oneself and others
• Where applicable, manage performance of and provide feedback to subordinates. Feedback shall be documented on a regular basis and distributed to HR / Procurement Manager in department as required
• Manage conflicts involving subordinates

Work experience requirements:

• Min 8-10 years of experience with different types of tasks within the procurement discipline

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in the relevant discipline
• Lack of formal education can be compensated with relevant experience according to Aibel position matrix

Other skills:

• Ability to have discipline responsibility and conduct training within the discipline

• Has excellent oral and written English skills
• Possesses good planning skills and the ability to understand and deliver in accordance with project schedule
