Job summary

Allied Search PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Buyer in Singapore to oversee the full purchasing lifecycle from sourcing to closure.

The role requires strong vendor management, contract negotiation, and spend analysis to ensure compliance with policies, budgets, and audits. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or Engineering with at least 5 years of hands-on procurement experience and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full purchasing lifecycle from sourcing to closure.

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for cost, quality and delivery.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, payment conditions, rebates and service agreements.
• Maintain vendor lists, pricing agreements and procurement databases.
• Monitor inventory, demand trends and lead times to prevent stockouts.
• Verify compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory and quality specs.
• Drive procurement efficiency and vendor consolidation to improve margins.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and project teams on purchasing goals.

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee the full purchasing lifecycle, including requirement sourcing, quotation acquisition, purchase order issuance, monitoring, and final closure.
• Ensure all purchase requisitions and orders align with corporate policies, approval workflows, budgetary limits, and audit standards.
• Identify, assess, and recommend suppliers, goods, and services based on cost-effectiveness, quality, delivery reliability, and compliance.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment conditions, rebates, and service agreements with domestic and international vendors.
• Cultivate key vendor relationships and enhance performance through regular reviews, audits, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain accurate records of approved vendor lists, pricing agreements, contract files, and procurement databases.
• Track inventory levels, demand trends, and lead times to mitigate supply disruptions and prevent stock imbalances.
• Verify that all procured items and services comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality specifications.
• Drive procurement efficiency, cost-reduction strategies, and vendor consolidation initiatives to improve margins.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and project teams to align purchasing efforts with broader business goals.
• Execute additional procurement projects and tasks as required by management.

Requirement

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or Engineering, backed by at least 5 years of hands-on procurement, sourcing, and purchasing experience (ideally within FM, manufacturing, or chemical industries).
• Strong expertise in sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, spend analysis, and ERP/e-procurement tools.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting, with proven negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities in fast-paced environments.
