Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Business Analyst responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into functional solutions and leading functional testing for global core banking and payment systems. Acts as a liaison between business, operations, and IT to ensure high-quality delivery of international payment and reporting solutions.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Must have 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Core Banking and Payment Systems;
• Strong expertise in payments processing including ISO 20022, SEPA (SCT, SDD, Instant), SWIFT, RTGS, ACH;
• Must have Hands-on experience in functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for banking applications;
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, validate, and document requirements (BRD, FSD) with global stakeholders;
• Experience working with payment hubs / engines (e.g., GPP-SP or similar) and clearing & settlement systems;
• Strong defect management and test lifecycle knowledge using tools like JIRA / ALM / QC;
• Ability to act as a bridge between business, operations, and technology teams in a multicultural environment;
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with exposure to Agile preferred.

Desired Skill-set

• Knowledge of tools and technologies like ALM/QC, JIRA, Cucumber, Kafka, JanusGraph, ElasticSearch, Kibana;
• Exposure to Global Pay Plus (GPP-SP), payment hubs, and clearing/settlement processes;

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and validate business requirements for core banking and payment systems (GPP-SP) through workshops, brainstorming sessions, and stakeholder discussions;
• Translate business needs into functional solutions, preparing and maintaining BRD, FSD, and other functional specifications;
• Work as a key liaison between business users, operations, IT, and vendors, ensuring end-to-end clarity and alignment;
• Define, review, and execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT test scenarios for payment and core banking systems;
• Own and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect logging, prioritization, tracking, and coordination for resolution;
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and integration partners to finalize solutions, manage dependencies, and resolve functional issues;
• Monitor project risks, issues, and testing progress, providing regular status reports and ensuring timely delivery;
• Support business users and operations teams through training, product collateral, knowledge sharing, and post‑implementation support.
