Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore seeks a Senior Application Support Engineer (Banking) to provide Level 2 production support for Digital Platform systems, manage incidents, and coordinate with developers and operations to ensure system stability.

You will assist the Incident Manager, perform root cause analysis, plan production transitions for new launches, and drive process improvements with automation to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Application or System Support, preferably in a banking or financial institution environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting Workflow and Automation systems.
• Experience in an Enterprise Application support environment, interacting with developers, infrastructure teams, service desks, and business users.
• Functional knowledge of Digitalization systems (e.g., Customer Onboarding, Funding Charges, Data Management).
• Technical proficiency with applications hosted on Windows and Linux platforms, including database queries (SQL Server, Oracle), and managing application services in Windows Services and Linux application services.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., DOS, UNIX, or VBA).

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 production application support for Digital Platform systems, managing production incidents and critical system interfaces through Workflow and Automation systems.
• Assist the Incident Manager in implementing preventive and detective measures for applications, including providing root cause analysis.
• Provide support in planning through performing production transitions for new system launches, and handling system change requests.
• Identify process gaps, propose system improvements, standardize processes through implementation plans and integration strategies, and recommend automation to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate projects and change requests, providing analytical support and conducting requirement analysis for system enhancements, fixes, and emergency changes, while promptly identifying and escalating risks and issues to stakeholders.
• Participate in system restoration during Disaster Recovery exercises and facilitate regular meetings with developers to resolve issues.
