Job summary

Dynamic Safety PTE. LTD. is seeking a Library Officer to manage daily library operations, assist with loans and information searches, and promote reading through programmes. You will coordinate with teachers and suppliers, maintain records, and ensure a conducive learning environment.

The role requires at least 3 years of school library experience, proficiency in Spydus LMS, and knowledge of the Dewey Decimal system, with strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a Library Officer in a national, secondary or tertiary school library.
• Proficient in Spydus Library Management System.
• Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification System.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience in organising reading programmes, book reviews and library activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily library operations and resources.
• Handle circulation, shelving, classification, cataloguing and inventory checks.
• Maintain records, databases and past assessment papers.
• Assist students and teachers with loans and information searches.
• Promote reading through activities and programmes.
• Coordinate with suppliers for books and materials.
• Monitor usage and prepare monthly reports.
• Maintain a clean, organized learning environment.
• Enforce library rules and manage bookings of rooms.
• Perform other library duties as assigned.
