Job summary

SUNNYHILL ACE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Library Officer to support collection maintenance, reading promotion, and data analysis across the Library Automated Service (LAS). You will manage cataloguing, inventory, and event room bookings to foster a conducive learning environment.

The role requires experience in library operations, strong IT skills, and the ability to collaborate with academic staff to deliver literacy programmes and engage students.

Qualifications

• Experience: Preferably at least 3 years of experience as a Library Officer in national libraries, secondary schools, or tertiary institutions.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Spydus Library Management Solution (or similar) for collection management.
• IT Literacy: Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of library classification (e.g., Dewey Decimal) and genrefication models.
• Soft Skills: Strong daily operational capabilities and collaboration with academic departments.

Responsibilities

• Collection Maintenance: handling circulation, shelving, cataloguing, and inventory tracking.
• Reading Promotion & Literacy Support: publicity for library events and literacy programs for students and staff.
• Data Analysis & Systems Control: operate LAS, manage data, track loan statistics, and prepare monthly reports.
• Housekeeping & Venue Management: maintain learning environment and supervise facility cleanliness.
