Job summary

Yellow Ribbon is seeking a Library Officer to manage daily library operations, assist users with enquiries and ensure smooth service delivery. The role involves cataloguing, shelving, and maintaining collections using the library management system, as well as coordinating inventory checks and procurement.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in a similar library setting, strong knowledge of Spydus and Dewey, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Preferably at least 3 years of experience as a Library Officer in a national, secondary school or tertiary-level library.
• Good knowledge of Spydus Library Management Solution and the Dewey Decimal Classification System.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and library inventory management.
• Experience organising reading programmes, library activities and educational events.
• Good communication, organisational and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily library operations, including book loans, returns, shelving and library user enquiries.
• Catalogue, classify and maintain library collections using the library management system.
• Conduct inventory checks, stocktaking, weeding and procurement coordination for library resources.
• Organise reading programmes, book reviews, library displays and student engagement activities.
• Maintain library records, prepare monthly usage reports and ensure a clean, organised learning environment.
