Position Summary

The Sales & Marketing Manager – Green Business is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Company’s Green Food Business in Singapore. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, law, or a related discipline, together with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably within B2C, food, retail, lifestyle, or sustainability-related businesses. Business-level Japanese and English communication skills are required to work effectively with HQ and regional stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, building new business models, managing budgets, and delivering commercial results, with clear ownership of retail sales performance and profitability. A strong customer-focused mindset is essential, with the ability to translate customer insights into commercially viable products, services, and sales initiatives.

Working closely with regional and HQ teams, this role requires a results-driven, collaborative, and adaptable professional who can build trusted internal and external relationships, leverage networks to drive growth, and respond flexibly to changing market conditions. Singapore serves as a pilot market, and the role will support market development and expansion planning into other developed countries.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute sales and marketing strategies for the green food business in Singapore in line with HQ’s business roadmap and objectives.
  • Drive demand creation and brand awareness through both retail and non-retail channels.
  • Oversee the operation of brand retail concepts (e.g. flagship store, pop-ups, specialty outlets), including sales performance monitoring, inventory coordination, and cost control.
  • Develop and implement new business models beyond store sales, including catering services, gifting, and anniversary service concepts.
  • Key account development with selected retailers aligned with the brand vision.
  • Identify and develop new customers, partners, and distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on logistics, supply planning, and operational efficiency to support business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners, and translate customer insights into improved products and offerings.
  • Support market assessment and strategic planning for future expansion into other developed markets.

Financial Accountability
  • Lead and develop the Green Food Business in Singapore with clear accountability for sales growth, profitability, and budget management.
  • Build the business to achieve annual sales with sustainable profitability.
  • Support expansion into other developed markets, contributing to regional growth strategy.
  • Contribute towards the long-term objective of building a profitable business in collaboration with HQ and regional stakeholders.
Non-Financial Accountability
  • Drive corporate brand awareness, with a target brand awareness of over 70% in priority segments.
  • Ensure effective and consistent information dissemination and communication to strengthen overall brand value and positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at major developers, partners, and B2B2C customers.
  • Lead operational improvements to strengthen business structure, scalability, and execution efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and supervision where applicable, with people management responsibility.
