Job summary

Pasona Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a overseas business development professional to expand distributor networks in Indonesia. You will oversee channel operations, sales planning, and coordination with Japan HQ to ensure growth and alignment.

Responsibilities include building relationships with distributors, negotiating terms, and ensuring inventory balance across channels, with international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Indonesian to liaise with distributors and partners.
• Proficiency in Japanese to report to Japan HQ.
• Strong communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Passion for growth in new markets.
• Experience in overseas sales, distributor/channel sales, or business development preferred.

• Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer insights for strategy.
• Report progress and challenges to Japan HQ in Japanese for alignment.
• Travel overseas as required and participate in trade shows and industry events.

Job description

• Salary: up to $6,000 (Depending on experiences) + Allowances

Job Description

This role drives overseas business development by building distributor and partner networks in Indonesia.

It oversees channel operations, sales planning, and cross-functional coordination while serving as one of the liaisons with Japan HQ to ensure alignment and sustainable growth.

• Identify key challenges in new overseas markets and explore effective solutions, leveraging local insights and language skills (e.g., Indonesian).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and local partners, including contract negotiations and commercial terms, licencing alignment by using local language, such as Indonesian.
• Manage distributors and channel partners to ensure proper channel inventory control and balanced supply and demand.
• Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and efficient end-to-end supply operations.
• Research, analyze, and report on local market trends, competitors, and customer insights.
• Analyze sales data and performance trends to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of sales planning and strategies.
• Ensure smooth communication with Japan HQ by sharing progress, challenges, and key updates in Japanese for consensus-building and alignment.
• Travel overseas as required and participate in trade shows and industry events.

Job Requirement

• Business-level proficiency in Indonesian language to liaise with Indonesian language Speaking distributors and partners.
• Proficiency in Japanese to report and collaborate with Japanese Speaking counterparts in Japan HQ
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, logistics, and presales teams
• Passion for driving growth in new markets is highly preferred.
• Experience in overseas sales, distributor/channel sales, or business development is preferred
