Job summary

A leading safety management firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with safety requirements and conduct training sessions. The ideal candidate will have a NITEC certificate in Engineering, at least 2 years of HSE experience, and must possess relevant certifications like Work at Height. The role emphasizes independent work and effective communication with diverse teams.

Qualifications

Job description
Job Description of Safety Coordinator
  • Assist Project Manager to ensure sub-contractors and workers comply with site safety and MOM safety and safe management measures requirements
  • Conduct tools box meeting
  • Conduct Site Safety Induction Course
  • Attend safety meeting & conduct safety training
  • Conduct site check to ensure site safety and safe management measures
  • Conduct in-house Safe Work Procedures training to workers
  • Rectify hazards & unsafe workplace practices at site
  • Prepare Risk Assessment before any new task
  • Conduct Risk Assessment Training for all workers
  • Arrange for equipment inspection with main contractor
  • Advice workers on safety compliance & procedures during work execution
  • Investigate & prepare report on all workplace accidents
  • Involve in safety audit
  • Manage all Company's Certifications (ISO, BizSafe, etc.)
Job Requirements
  • NITEC / HI-NITEC Certificate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
  • At least 2 years of working experience as a HSE Coordinator
  • Updated with current legal requirement and standard practices
  • Able to display ability and skills as a HSE Coordinator
    • Legal documents (PTWs, SWP and MOS)
    • Completion of accident and incident report
    • Able to complete risk assessment and application of hierarchy of control
    • Able to tabulate inspection report(s)
  • Must possess the following certifications
    • Work at Height for Assessor/Manager
    • Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan
    • Building Construction Supervisors Course
    • Safe Management Officer
  • Patient & tactful in dealing with various nationality of workers
  • Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility and urgency
  • Able to work independently and cope with pressure
