Job summary

The Clan Hotel in Singapore seeks a(Room Division Manager) to lead the Front Office and Housekeeping divisions, steering efficient and profitable hotel operations. You will shape long- and short-term strategies with the HM/GM, manage budgets, and drive improvements in guest experiences across services and facilities.

You will demonstrate strong leadership, analytics, and communication skills while ensuring SOP compliance and grooming future department heads.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in hospitality, tourism or related field is required.
• 6-8 years of hotel operations experience with leadership in Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Strong analytical and operational management skills focused on guest experience and efficiency.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities; problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Opera PMS and familiarity with hotel management systems and reporting tools.
• Hospitality certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Room Division Manager (The Clan Hotel)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the proper, efficient and profitable functioning of the Hotel. Oversee the Front Office and Housekeeping Departments.
• Prepare the long-term and short-term strategies and plan, budget and forecast for the Hotel together with the HM/ GM.
• Develop, recommend and advise the HM/ GM on any areas of improvements in processes and strategies of the Hotel.
• Be proactive and resourceful in the analysis of trends and changing needs and expectation of guests in terms of accommodation, services and facilities.
• Ensure that the Housekeeping Department maintains an effective level of service and cleanliness in guestrooms and public areas within budget.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, lobbies and other facilities periodically to maintain a consistently high level of standards.
• Responsible for meeting the KPIs set for ancillary revenue i.e. Upselling and customer engagement score i.e. Social media reviews
• Ensure departments' compliance with SOP.
• Work with Outsource Security for efficient surveillance and proper reporting/ follow-up incidents.
• Coordinate with the Human Resources Department for manpower needs, recruitment, promotion, termination etc.
• Review departmental programs to ensure development of future department heads
• Represent the Hotel Manager / General Manager in their absence.
• Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Hotel Manager / General Manager diligently and professionally.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
• At least 6-8 years of hotel operations experience, with proven leadership in Front Office and Housekeeping management.
• Strong analytical and operational management skills with a focus on guest experience and efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Opera PMS and familiar with hotel management systems and reporting tools.
• Hospitality certifications (e.g., CERT, service excellence, operations management, or leadership) are an advantage.
