Job summary

People Profilers Pte Ltd is seeking a Retail Executive / Senior Retail Assistant / Retail Assistant (Luxury) to oversee premium store operations and elevate the customer experience. The role requires managing daily activities, ensuring impeccable store presentation and leading a small team in a fast-paced luxury environment.

You will drive sales, monitor performance against KPIs, and collaborate with marketing for campaigns.

Retail Executive / Senior Retail Assistant / Retail Assistant (Luxury)

This role is suited to a Retail Executive/Assistant who understands the expectations of a premium retail environment and is confident managing both people and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of the retail outlet, ensuring smooth and efficient store performance.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, product presentation and overall store appearance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily store administration.

Sales & Commercial Performance

• Drive sales and profitability by achieving outlet sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Monitor daily and monthly sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and customer conversion.
• Implement promotional activities, campaigns and seasonal initiatives in line with company direction.
• Monitor product performance and provide feedback on fast-moving, slow-moving and high-margin products.

Customer Experience

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service aligned with the standards of a premium grocery brand.
• Build strong relationships with customers and ensure their needs and expectations are well addressed.
• Handle customer feedback, enquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Maintain a welcoming, polished and service-oriented environment within the outlet.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, motivate and develop the outlet team to achieve operational and sales objectives.
• Manage staff scheduling, deployment and manpower requirements to ensure adequate coverage.
• Foster a positive, professional and customer-centric team culture.

Visual Merchandising & Product Standards

• Ensure products are displayed attractively and according to brand and merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate stock presentation, pricing and promotional signage.
• Ensure premium products and fresh produce are presented to the required quality standards.
• Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams on new product launches and promotional displays.

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly outlet reports as required.
• Monitor sales, inventory, wastage, manpower and operational KPIs.
• Maintain accurate records relating to cash, stock, staff attendance and outlet operations.
• Provide management with feedback on customer trends, competitor activities and operational issues.

Requirements

• GCE O Levels/Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related discipline preferred.
• 3 years in a retail outlet/store management role.
• Experience in premium retail, luxury retail, specialty retail, FMCG or hospitality will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management and sales performance.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with discerning customers.
• Commercially minded with good understanding of sales targets, KPIs and cost management.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
