Job summary

A leading construction consultancy in Singapore seeks a skilled civil/structural engineer to assist the Resident Engineer with onsite supervision and inspection of construction work. Candidates should have a recognized diploma and at least 8 years of experience in construction, preferably with steel and precast structures. Responsibilities include monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting Resident Engineer in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervision and inspection of construction work.
• Monitor project progress schedule and ensure safety on site.
• Maintain and update site records on project progress.
• Inspect architectural finishing materials delivered to site.

Qualifications

• Recognized Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
• Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Technical Officer Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in construction, preferably in steel and precast building construction.
• Must be familiar with local Regulations/Codes for Civil and Structural related to building projects.
• A good team player and experience in assisting Resident Engineer in supervision.
• Ability to resolve site and technical issues, prepare and document detailed site progress reports.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervision and inspection of construction work on site
• Monitor project progress schedule and quality standards, ensure safety on site
• Maintain and update site records on project progress
• Inspect and monitor quality of architectural finishing material delivered to site
• Check all drawings (including authority submission drawings and shop drawings)
• Ensure works are carried out in accordance to statutory requirements
