Overview

The Neuroscience Laboratory at the National Neuroscience Institute (TTSH Campus) is seeking a highly motivated Research Technologist to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to dementia research by investigating key molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a vital role in biomedical research and laboratory operations, including:

• Conducting independent research projects and assisting in ongoing studies
• Collecting and processing human biological samples (blood) for DNA/RNA extraction
• Maintaining research databases and performing molecular assays (e.g. Sanger sequencing and ELISA)
• Overseeing day-to-day lab operations, including procurement and adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborating with research teams to ensure smooth laboratory function

Qualifications

• Diploma in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology or its equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field. Fresh grad is welcomed too.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
• Meticulous in handling patient samples, record keeping and possess good organizational skills
