Job description
Overview

Woodlands Health (WH) envisions personalised and quality healthcare for the community of the future. It will co-develop and integrate services with community stakeholders and extend care beyond the hospital into the community and homes.

Responsibilities
  • Be technically and clinically competent in performing diagnostic radiography and all other imaging modalities, where necessary.
  • Performs all diagnostic imaging examinations on patients with clinically accepted standards described in the SOP, with due regards to radiation safety, patient care and clinical requirement.
  • Participates in the maintenance of a round-the-clock radiography service via rotating shifts as rostered and activated.
  • Participates in department SOP work-flow for emergency and mass casualty situations via roster, and when necessary for operational exigencies.
  • Ensures good diagnostic quality in the delivery of radiography service through good clinical practice and oversight on quality control of imaging equipment.
  • Responsible for timely notification and follow-up of imaging equipment problems.
  • Observes all radiation safety protection rules and guidelines, with regards to safety for the patient, staff and public.
  • Responsible for good housekeeping and inventory of workstation and work environment.
  • Ensures maintenance of proper records of cases performed, consistent with good radiographic practice.
  • May be involved in more advanced X-ray investigations, with relevant experience and training.
  • Provides guidance for quality control, practical teaching of students and juniors, in patient care and clinical areas of radiography.
  • Assists in patient management such as registration, billing, appointments, statistics, image duplication, document and film sorting, handling enquiries if and when possible.
  • Supervises junior staff working with him/her.
  • Assists in data collection for film reject analysis.
  • Any other tasks and duties assigned by supervisor/s.
Job Requirements
  • Education / Training / Experience: Recognised Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • Competent in diagnostic radiography, radiographic processing, quality control, film fault and trouble-shooting of X-ray equipment
  • Allied Health Professional Council Practising Certificate
