The role focuses on supporting estimation and bidding activities, with responsibility for quantity take-offs, risk analysis, and costed technical proposals for buildings and plants. You will work under the Tender Manager, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely submissions and compliant tenders, while maintaining meticulous documentation and presentation materials for

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years' experience as Quantity Surveyor in M&E construction with electrical works.
• Good understanding of Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Architectural drawings.

Responsabilités

• Assist Tender/Contract Manager in tender preparation and submission.
• Analyze scope of work and commercial requirements to identify risks.
• Develop and maintain tender files for tracking bidding activities.
• Prepare and follow up on RFQs with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Perform quantity take-offs from Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Architectural drawings.
• Collate price comparisons, costing summaries, and technical proposals.
• Review addenda to update costing summaries and proposals.
• Ensure tender documents are prepared and finalized within deadlines.
• Maintain orderly project documentation.
• Prepare presentation materials for tender interviews.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Quantity Surveyor (Electrical) (37851)

Location: Toa Payoh

Our client, a Japanese mechanical and electrical engineering company, specializes in constructing indoor wiring and power transmission lines, as well as installing air conditioning, water supply, and sewage systems in buildings and plants.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in Electrical systems to support our project estimation and bidding processes. In this role, you will play a key part in the tender lifecycle, from initial quantity take-offs and risk assessment to the final preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in interpreting technical drawings, and capable of managing documentation to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Report to: Tender Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the Tender/Contract Manager in the preparation and submission of tenders.
• Analyze the scope of work and commercial requirements to identify and assess project risks.
• Develop and maintain tender files to ensure systematic tracking and monitoring of all bidding activities.
• Prepare and follow up on Requests for Quotations (RFQ) with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely receipt of competitive costing and technical data.
• Perform quantity take-offs from Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Architectural drawings.
• Collate price comparisons, costing summaries, and technical proposals to facilitate accurate tender submissions.
• Review addenda and corrigenda documents, ensuring the costing summary and technical proposals are updated accordingly.
• Ensure all tender submission documents are prepared and finalized within strict deadlines.
• Maintain comprehensive and orderly documentation for all project-related records.
• Prepare professional presentation materials for tender interviews.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Preferences

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar
• 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in M&E Construction, with experience in electrical work for buildings
• Good understanding of Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, and Architectural drawings
• Good industry network with subcontractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers
