Job summary

MX MNE PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a seasoned Quantity Surveyor for electrical projects. You will prepare tender submissions, perform cost take-offs and analyze project costs using past purchasing data. You will collaborate with Tender Pricing, Cost Estimation and risk teams to deliver competitive bids.

You will attend site visits, evaluate price comparisons, manage budgets, and coordinate procurement and contract administration to ensure project value and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering is required.
• Min 5 years of construction Quantity Surveyor experience for electrical projects in Singapore.
• Proficient in tender platforms GeBIZ, Sesami, Tender Board, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender submissions including Bills of Quantities.
• Perform quantity take-offs for tender projects within established timelines.
• Analyse project cost including equipment, material and labour with past records.
• Collaborate with Tender Pricing, Cost Estimation and cost evaluation teams.
• Attend site visits to visualise site challenges and risk management.
• Evaluate price comparisons and cost summaries for management review.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns.
• Coordinate with personnel for compilation of project cost estimates and procurement.
• Conduct cost analysis to ensure value and control project scope.
• Review tender specifications and drawings to highlight potential risks.
• Administer project budget, cost control and sub-/main-contracts including VO and final accounts
• Procurement, price negotiation and analysis; prepare subcontract and payment.
• Submit monthly progress reports and identify potential claims.

Job Description:

• Prepare tender submission including Bills of Quantities.
• Perform quantity take-offs for tender projects within established timelines to support cost estimation and tender submissions.
• Analyse project cost, including equipment, material and labour with past purchasing records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Tender Pricing, Cost Estimation, cost evaluation and prepare cost comparison.
• Attend site visits to visualise the potential site challenges and risk management.
• Evaluation of price comparison and cost summary for management to review;
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns.
• Coordinate with various personnel for the compilation of project cost estimates; Source and order materials for projects.
• Conduct cost analysis for the project to ensure the overall value is enhanced. Control project scope to meet project objectives to enhance project deliverables and key work activities.
• Studying tender specifications and drawings to highlight potential risk for the company.
• Responsible for administration of project budget, cost control and sub-contract and main-contract including Variation Order (VO) and settlement of final accounts
• Project procurement and purchasing, price negotiation and analysis
• Prepare sub-contract agreement and payment
• Submit monthly report for progress payment claim
• Identify other potential claims based on review of the contract deviations
• Handle issues including extension of time, terms and condition, loss and expenses claim etc
• Review and negotiate with the sub-contractors recommended by the project manager as and when necessary
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Identifying suitable Tender opportunities from Government tender portals such as GeBIZ, Sesami, Tender Board, etc.
• Familiar in Handling HV, MV Switchboards, Power & Distribution transformers will be more advantageous
• Complete Understanding of Single line diagrams & Equipment arrangement layouts
• Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
• Min 5 years of construction Quantity Surveyor experience for the electrical project in Singapore.
• Able to work independently., know well for tender platform such as GeBIZ, Sesami, Tender Board, etc.
• Proficient in MS office applications AutoCad, BIM.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
