Job summary

Idbox (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to manage costing, tender preparation, procurement, and cost control for interior fit-out projects.

You will prepare BQ/tender docs, source materials, evaluate quotations, and monitor costs across projects while liaising with clients and suppliers to ensure competitive quotations and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 2 years as Quantity Surveyor, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
• Experience in interior design/architecture/construction projects is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with QS/estimating software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Source, evaluate, procure materials for projects.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs to keep within budget during fitting-out.
• Prepare cost reports, cost analyses, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Coordinate with vendors on production schedules and samples.
• Liaise with clients regarding quotations and order status; support sales.
• Handle inquiries and after-sales support; resolve project issues.
• Maintain weekly/monthly quotation and sales performance reports.
• Perform other quantity surveying and costing duties as assigned.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Source, evaluate, and procure materials and products required for projects.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project costs throughout the fitting-out process to ensure they remain within budget.
• Prepare project cost reports, cost analysis, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Establish accurate costing for materials, installation, and labour to prepare competitive quotations.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors on production schedules, material samples, and project-related matters.
• Liaise with existing and prospective clients regarding quotations, project requirements, and order status.
• Follow up on quotations and support the sales process by converting opportunities into confirmed projects.
• Handle client enquiries, provide after-sales support, and resolve project-related issues.
• Maintain and analyse weekly and monthly quotation and sales performance reports.
• Perform other quantity surveying and project costing duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Post-Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the interior fit-out or construction industry.
• Experience in interior design, architecture, commercial fit-out, or hospitality projects will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of project costing, tender preparation, procurement, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with quantity surveying or estimating software is an advantage.
