Job summary

DB&B, a Singapore-based interior solutions firm, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract activities, including tender preparation, cost estimation, and contract administration.

Your duties include site measurements, reviewing variation orders, monitoring project budgets, and coordinating with M&E teams to ensure cost control and value engineering throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in QS or related field is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction projects.
• Strong numerical and financial analysis skills with attention to detail.

Role Description

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all pre and post contract activities, including tender preparation, cost estimation, and contract administration. The role involves preparing and reviewing variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts; sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors; and monitoring project budgets to implement cost control and value engineering measures. This role will conduct site measurements and valuations, coordinate with internal teams on contractual and M&E matters, analyze tender returns for cost competitiveness, and support project teams with technical proposals, progress tracking, and resolution of contractual issues.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in commercial construction projects.
• Proficient in tools for quantity take-off and technical drawings.
• Familiar with contract administration, project budgeting, and cost control practices.
• Excellent numerical and financial analysis skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in a team.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
