Job summary

JATER INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCT FORWARD PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Singapore to support project costing, tendering, and contract administration.

You will prepare cost estimates, handle tender submissions, source quotations, perform take-offs, and manage progress claims. The ideal candidate has a degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying with at least 3 years of QS experience, preferably in subcontracting works, and strong Excel skills to support cost control and negotiations on

Responsibilities

• Handle tender submissions, including pricing, breakdown, and supporting documents
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Perform quantity take-off and cost analysis for various trades
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and ensure works are within budget
• Track material usage and project cost performance
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Main Contractors on cost-related matters
• Assist in contract administration and documentation

We are a subcontractor specializing in architectural, façade, metal works, and interior finishing works. We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support project costing, tendering, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BQ)
• Handle tender submissions, including pricing, breakdown, and supporting documents
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Perform quantity take-off and cost analysis for various trades
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts
• Monitor project costs and ensure works are within budget
• Track material usage and project cost performance
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Main Contractors on cost-related matters
• Assist in contract administration and documentation

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant QS experience, preferably in subcontracting works
• Experience in architectural / interior / metal works / façade projects will be an advantage
• Good understanding of BQ, cost estimation, and tender process
• Able to perform quantity take-off from drawings independently
• Familiar with variation claims and progress claims
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Experience working with Main Contractors in Singapore
• Familiar with standard forms of contract (e.g. SIA / PSSCOC)
• Experience handling multiple trades and fast-paced projects
