As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Drive/contribute in cost reduction, weed out unwarranted expenses/wastages and improve equipment performance.
  2. Drive/contribute in equipment fault investigations and continuous improvement programs to resolve chronic equipment issues, and institute permanent resolutions to assure product quality and enhance process robustness.
  3. Enforce on equipment maintenance controls and execution to conform to work instructions and procedures. Apply hands-on and with deep involvement at work.
  4. Guide and train technicians in equipment problem solving and analysis to build up their technical competencies and achieve self-sustenance.
  5. Provide effective equipment trainings to the technicians to build up their technical and skill competencies.
  6. Ensure non-conformance is dealt with in a proper and effective manner.
  7. Take accountability of work and possess strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
  8. Manage and control spare parts availability and costs.
  9. Manage vendor services and supports and ensuring compliance with factory protocol.
  10. Establish, review and perform regular update of PM procedures, Risks Assessments and Troubleshooting guidelines.
  11. Create technical specification for new and transferred equipment.
  12. Execute the equipment move-in, installation, set up and buy-off, meeting set timelines.
  13. Compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge in semiconductor process technology.
  3. Possess strong technical competencies in his field of study.
  4. Good knowledge of statistical and quality tools.
  5. Able to work under pressure and with strong commitment at work.
  6. Experience with computer systems and proficient with software applications such as MS Power Point, Excel and Word.
