Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors from China.
  • Manage and administer supplier contracts from China, including renewals and renegotiations.
  • Liaise with operations and warehouse teams on material requirements, inventory checks, and inspections.
  • Track and monitor purchase requests, shipments, and deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Verify procurement documents such as POs, DOs, and invoices, and coordinate with Finance on payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
  • Support cost control efforts and perform cost analysis.
  • Assist in tender submissions with pricing and sourcing data.
  • Attend customer meetings, supplier fairs, and vendor visits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and project specifications.
  • Identify alternative materials or suppliers when required.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese as the incumbent is required to be able to place orders on Chinese webpages, understand Chinese invoices and communicate with Chinese suppliers.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, great interpersonal skill, independent, organized with positive work attitude.
  • Strong analytical skill.
  • Highly organized and has excellent time management skills.
  • Any education background or work experience in procurement or business management will be an added advantage.
  • Any experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage as well.
