Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking an Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Engineer (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant. You will join a team of engineers and contractors to maintain critical water treatment equipment and implement maintenance strategies to ensure safe, efficient operation.

You will work on predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance, assist in planning and budgeting, and integrate instrumentation data with SCADA and analytics

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to respond to urgent situations outside normal hours.
• Comfortable in used water environments and able to perform site works.
• Familiar with field instrumentations and their applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on M&E and auxiliary equipment.
• Assist to devise maintenance plans and budgets; procure spares and monitor inventory.
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and follow SOPs.
• Utilise Asset Management System for procurement, contract, asset and inventory management
• Support integration of instrumentation data with SCADA, data historians, and analytics platforms
• Participate in continuous improvement for safety, efficiency, and reliability
• Manage maintenance contracts to ensure work aligns with objectives and budget

What the role is

As an Engineer/Executive Engineer/Senior Engineer (Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA)) at Changi Water Reclamation Plant, you will play a vital role in treating used water to produce high-quality NEWater and ensure safe discharge to the sea. Working alongside a team of engineers and contractors, you will implement various maintenance strategies to keep critical water treatment equipment running safely and efficiently. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities are:

What you will be working on

• Work with engineers and contractors to perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance works safely for M&E and auxiliary equipment in used water treatment processes.
• Assist supervisor to devise maintenance plan and budget, procure essential spares, monitor spares inventory and utilisation of expenditures
• Respond to equipment abnormalities and carry out SOP when required.
• Utilise enterprise systems such as the Asset Management System for procurement, contract management, asset and inventory management
• Support integration of instrumentation data with SCADA, data historians, and analytics platforms
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability
• Manage and implement maintenance contracts to ensure works performed by contractors are executed according to objectives and within budget
